I can’t stress enough how much mascara makes a difference in your makeup routine! I’ve tried tons of mascaras from HG to drugstore brands and Diorshow tops them all off by a long haul. This mascara curls, lengthens, and does not clump! I have short and thin asian lashes and it definitely makes them stand out a lot more. If you haven’t picked one up yet, it is a must!
Lately all I’ve been dreaming about is traveling! I’ve been so blessed that my parents have taken my sister and I everywhere. I have gotten to see most of the world already by the age of 26, but I still want to see MORE and re-visit places I’ve gone to when I was younger and wasn’t able to appreciate it as much as I would now. Traveling is everything. The place you’re in right now is just a tiny speck compared to the rest of the world.. there is sooo much more out there to do and see, people to meet, and places to fall in love with. “To travel is to live..”
This is one of my favourite bronzers of all time from Benefit Cosmetics! The finish is matte, and it goes on smoothly and stays on all day. I’ve tried a lot of bronzers that go on clunky and you end up not being able to blend it well. Every time I apply this, it goes on so nicely! Definitely my number 1 HG bronzer.
I just dyed my hair ash brown and was looking for the perfect eyebrow pencil, I couldn’t find one that did not have a reddish brown undertone, until YESTERDAY! I love the Annabelle Skinny Brow Liner, it is the perfect ash colour and it is so easy to use. I love the texture, and the way it makes my brows look. Go out and get this if you’re looking for a good drugstore brand brow pencil. I bought it for around $12, will be using this instead of my Anastasia brow pencil for now.
My latest obsession has been with green smoothies! They are so satisfying and leave me feeling full without having to feel guilty.
Here is what I put in my morning green smoothies:
3 large Kale Leaves, remove leaves from ribs before placing into the blender
1 ripe frozen Banana (before freezing cut into pieces or else it will be hard to peel)
1 cup Almond Milk (sometimes I use coconut or soy milk)
1 tablespoon of Agave
Optional: 1 scoop Protein Powder

This is my go-to ointment for everything! I recently just burned myself with my curling iron, put this on, and it soothed it right away. I love this for my lips and dry patches on my face or hands. It does not feel oily, and I love that Lucas’ PaPaw is made out of natural ingredients. Since it is from Australia, I buy it online on ebay or amazon 🙂
I’ve been a huge fan of BB cream since it started getting popular in North America. Etude House has one of my favourite ones, the only problem I had with it is that it makes you look ghostly if you put too much on. The greyish cast you get from most BB creams has always been a turn-off for me, but this has been one that I quite liked. It gave me a dewy finish and gave me a nice glow.
I usually use baby shampoo to clean my brushes, but I decided to try the Daily Brush Cleaner from E.L.F since it was only $3 and it works great! The smell is amazing, and it is so easy to use. Just spray, wipe the brushes on a kleenex or soft towel, and your brushes are clean and ready to go.
If anyone knows me, they know that I am OBSESSED with Asian beauty products! I have a love for the cute packaging, products that are still great quality but that do not cost the price of going to Sephora, and the fact that the tones match my yellow skin-tone!
My first post is going to be about the Dolly Wink black liquid liner and the Okuma Concealer I got when I was in Tokyo! I was so excited to try the Dolly Wink eyeliner because I had such a great experience with their eyebrow pencil. I have been using the Stila Stay All Day eyeliner for years and I have never found anything better, but I thought I would just give it a try.
The eyeliner pen goes on very smoothly, but the colour does not come out very black. I have to go over it about a few times before I can get it dark enough, and by the end of the day, the eyeliner DOES smudge. It his the top of my eyelids by mid day, and I have to re-apply it. As much as I love the cute pink polka-dot packaging, I probably won’t buy this again.
My concealer I got from one of the amazing beauty drug-stores in Tokyo! I tried finding it online, but am not able to find it anywhere. The concealer was about $15 CDN, and it works GREAT. My go-to concealer has always been from Benefit Cosmetics, but this concealer is definitely a steal. It goes on smoothly and it stays on ALL DAY. The colour I got (“Type 3”) also matches my skin colour perfectly!
